Seems like an age since I found time to "Blog"!! We have had a very busy summer, especialy August which is way up on last year ... so thanks to everyone who has been supporting us. Of course the slight down side on this is that we're both "cream crackered" certainly noticing that we're 23 years older than when we started out!

We've had 2 new girls start after being very badly let down by 2 sisters just before the summer started, seems to be going well although they are still at the basics stage, thank goodness for my "Kelly" who's been here for 4 years and is my stalwart.

Krampus bookings are starting to come in, hoping the weather holds this year and there's no need to cancel anything. I'm already looking forward to all the fun .. check the Xmas pages for details which I will amend in September. We've tried really hard to keep our prices down as much as possible but are having to put up Lamb prices on our main menu and Sunday lunch menu as it has just gone through the roof recently  ... sorry, but customers who know us will apreciate we only do this when absolutely necessary.

We have been welcoming lots of new customers via the website Trip Advisor, who have all been really nice and complimentary, we really apreciate the smashing comments in the Trip advisor website from customers old and new, when you've been somewhere a long time its great to know what you are doing is still liked and on the right road... thanks to everyone!

It's not just business that has stopped me blogging, with limited free time I have been using any spare moments to carry on with my greeting card making, I absolutely love it and will soon be starting the Xmas ones.

We will be having a short break in October, usual visit to Austria and then it'll be a clear run to the Krampus nights!

Sitting here,on my birthday, thinking I should be doing bookkeeping not "surfing" but what the heck!! Thanks to everyone for the birthday greetings ... much apreciated even though these birthdays seem to be coming around ever more quickly!

Weather is very hit & miss at the moment ... as is trade. Its either heaving & full or very quiet , something very odd is happening. People are starting to ask about Xmas and Krampus, so if any of you are interested in Krampus  please don't forget to conatct me. I'll be doing my usual phoning around in September.

We've decided to go on our annual holiday to Austria in January 2011 instead of our usual October trip ... thought it might make a change.

That's it for today, should try to get back to "cooking" the books !!

First 2 Krampus nights over!! All went really well. The new waitresses enjoyed their first experience and screamed quite royally! Becca was draggged from her hiding place under a table!  Another 3 to go, hope I get rid of this really tiring head cold soon, it seems to be going on forever, and also means I've missed my last 2 excersize classes.. hope the weight isn't creeping back on.

Christmas day is fully booked and New years Eve is looking quite healthy too. Just a slight lack of weekday xmas parties this year.... too many discos being offered elsewhere probably! Have posted new Krampus photos on the Gallery already so please take a look and maybe join us next year!

Haven't had a lot of time to "blog" lately, which is a good thing customers keep telling us!!  

We had a really really good "staff reunion" it was fab to see a lot of my "girls" (   & 2 boys). Catching up with all their news of jobs, relationships & children was great!! I posted the photos ages ago but haven't had time to write.

Took our first Christmas day and New years Eve bookings this week, well I suppose it isn't all that long to go really .Keep checking for the updated menus on the website, assuming I'll ever have time to do them!

We've catered for the local Rotary and Colwyn Bay Lions club over the last 2 weeks as well as all our usual business, successfully I believe.

Still going to Rosemary Connley Diet & Fitness group weekly, had a bit of a shock this week put nearly 2lbs ON, wasn't expecting that as I've been running around like the proverbial blue a***** fly for over a month now.Seriously it is me slipping back into the picking food between meals habit and of course too many" winding down drinks" time to pull myself together after all I'm nearly at the 3 stone target.

My two new staff members Hannah & Emma are doing really well, and are great to have around but of course I am really missing Anwen! Will try & get photos onto the site asap.

Well, time to get back to the cleaning! Will try to write again soon
